So here is the room. The color of the couch is actually a pale minty/seafoam green...the picture kind of lies...and the pillows are white with black floral.The whole room is basically chill and neutral..with little pops of black and red. So,which rug shall go under that coffee table?

The black and white rug is nice...but I think a fluffy shag would give you some texture and would stand out nicely under your coffee table!

We have labs too and shags are good at hiding the hair...just as a side note. :-P
I think the first one is the most elegant. It's so pretty, but not too busy to pull focus from the rest of the room.

My vote is for rug #2 because with all the neutrals it might be nice to have a little color anchoring the room. However I also really like rug #1.
ReplyDeleteOther notes: I have a fab shag rug and it is kinda hard to vacuum, but it's totally worth it.
And yes, white = bad. I had off-white carpet in my last apartment and it was hard to keep white. It looked great, but you have to be super careful - And with a rug by the couch it's nice to be able to feel a bit more laid back about it.
