My spring 2010 fashion concept, as posted on Facebook, is rather complex: old grumpy grandpa meets Ringo Starr meets Harrison Ford meets Queen Victoria. What can I say, I'm a complicated person. These are some of my favorite shots of my outfit from Stoner Park (we decided to go there based on name alone). Undershirt, sweater vest, cardigan, socks, heels, belt, scarf and sunglasses: all Target (I work there. How sad.). Jeans: Old Navy. I like to think that I can be a fashionable person, but really all of my styles (unless for a special occasion) revolve around me being comfortable, no matter what the season. Imagine something like that. <- sorry, I have watched a lot of episodes of Madmen recently. It's a swell show.

Charlie's Angels, love leggings.
I am so not lookin as fierce as Hayley in this photo...

Oh,Hello again!Heather here; back to show you the final outfit from our Starbuckian adventure.
My amazing (I am told it's vintage) heart necklace, given to me by my sister,Rachel. Also, meh bewbs.

Like I said,Charlie's Angel's,

Button down shirt:Express
Red Henley: Thrifted
Bubble Skirt: DIY upcycled from a shirt dress, by moi.
Plaid tights:for the life of me I can't remember who makes these. And the label has been washed off:(
Peep Toe Shoes:Pink Duchess

Those tights just make my life complete. Like I've said before...I love loud leg adornments!

The Three Amigettes.

I REALLY love that umbrella.
(P.s..that is the thrift score we kept talking about:))

I really want to know what that weird butterfly-lookin thing was on the floor...I'm going to go think about it while I try to fall asleep.
See ya next time for some fashion shots from Stoner park!

She's in love with the world... but sometimes these feelings can be so misleading
Here's my outfit from the night of being out and about! It was raining, but Heather and I had decided on being semi-fancy, so here was my result. Green shirt, necklace, plaid rain jacket, grey skirt, nude fishnets, and the most amazing flat boots of all time. All of that, minus the boots, came from Target!
Here is my skeptical face regarding Heather's camera skills.
These boots! I got them for $20 when the original price was $230. It is really soft leather, and they are perfect. Slouchy, but not too slouchy. Cowboy-esque without being over the top. They're wonderful. I love them.

Busy Like Bees
Hey Guys,
Just a quick update to let you know that we're not dead. Heather and Dave just bought their first house on Tuesday! Therefore, they have been spending all of their time working on their house to get it in tip-top shape. I have been in school all week and working loads, and somewhere in between trying to get schoolwork done.

Heather and I both saw each other tonight, but we were so tired that all we wanted to do was sit on the floor and talk. Plus, I was in my work uniform, and she was in pajamas. However, we have decided that Monday, we are starting afresh and wearing fabulous clothes again. No slacking!
Until next time, my dears.

"..and wear you like the crown that you are."
Oh,hey ya'll! Heather here. Tonight you get to learn a bit more of the night of our Starbuckian adventure! If you're wondering about the Title of this post: it's from Youth in Revolt, which we went to see earlier that evening. I can't get that line outta my head!
Anywho, I would like to introduce you to my baby <3 ...my husband that is. His name is Dave...an he is the one who suggested we go to Starbucks.

FUNNY FACE!

Blue Steel.Kind of.

Now, it was a dark and stormy night.Ok, so maybe not stormy...but rainy. And it just so happened I had scored this umbrella earlier in the day at my favorite thrift mart!So I brought it along....and Becky decided to knight David with it. She declared him Sir Eric.I have no idea why,but it was hilarious! And look at how excited he was!!!

...And how oddly bored Becky looks...
p.s. you will see better pics of why this umbrella is amazing in a later post!
RAWR!

Dave describes his daily style as 'chill',but when it comes right down to it he would wear nothing but suits and spiffy menswear if he could afford that many well-tailored things. As it is, he enjoys t-shirts and well-worn jeans,Vans/and/or/Chucks(he has at least 7 pairs of these type of shoes),hoodies and warm coats. He also likes to wear beer-logo caps, much to my chagrin....He has wonderfully curly hair...but I think I love it more than him, lol.
Anyways, enough swooning. I can do that more when we get a pic of him all dolled up;)

To sum up: go see Youth in Revolt.Unless you are easily offended. I,personally, loved it.It felt like they were presenting things the way overly imaginative people(like me) see their lives...instead of the boring old way things really go down...and the colorless way people really talk. Not the best movie ever...but it was funny, and it spoke to me,and I just love Michael Cera.So there.
Now,Please stay tuned for some more random pics:

Kickin our feets up at the theater.

This is Hayley. Isn't she super cute?
She's a talented photographer that recently moved to Huntsville with her husband, Shawn (more on him later). Check out their neat website here.
She can also be a little bit silly... which may be part of the reason that we get along so well.
Her outfits always seem to rock. On this particular night, she had a 50's pin-up meets quirky girl outfit on: polka dots, wide belt, and amazing patent heels. Love at first sight? I think so.
Even though this shot is a little blurry, you can still see the fabulosity of these shoes (I need them!).
Really, though, I think Hayley makes her outfits rock so much because of her confidence. Look at how fierce she is in this shot!
More pictures to come from this night. Much style was to be had. We were going to venture out into the night to take a few shots, but it was raining and Dave decided Starbucks sounded better than rain, and so the tale of this night began. Hint: there is an amazing thrift score that will be revealed.
No, Heather is not going to let Becky do all the talking.
I'm finally going to introduce myself! So Hai:)Nice to meet you!
I figured I would some throwback shots as my intro, and then when more photos get uploaded from tonight I can ramble some more!

**Pants:Hot Topic**
**Shirt: Fort Lauderdale...random beachfront shop**
**Shoes:My favoritest Chucks.Duh.**
As you are sure to learn, I have a thing for interesting leg adornments(such as stripey pants and tights)and mixmatching patterns that don't really go(except on me,they do.)and using lots of parentheses. Anyhoo, this shot is from early spring of 08. It was one of my favorite shots of the day..but it wasn't really a fashion shoot. It was a day of random picture taking for an album that my BFF and I never quite ended up making. (however you can check out what little bit of it actually happened at www.myspace.com/bananacoke)

This is from a photoshoot a few weeks ago. Excuse the low quality pics, the good camera wasn't working so these are from a digital point'n'shoot.
**Top: By ME!
**
**Jacket: Unknown,Thrift Score**
**Pants: Xhilaration,Target**
**Shoes:Target**
**Belt: Walmart(no,really!)**
come back soon for shots from tonight's adventure!
